India had crossed the one-lakh mark of daily Covid-19 cases on April 5. The country added another lakh in 10 days.
NEW DELHI: At an all-time high, India on Thursday recorded more than 2 lakh Covid-19 cases in a day, as the country reels under the second wave of coronavirus. India had recorded more than one lakh cases for the first time on April 5. It took only ten days to add another one lakh.
The death toll on Thursday increased to 1,73,123 with 1,038 daily new fatalities and 93,528 discharges, the Union health ministry data updated at 8 am showed.
India’s total Covid-19 tally now stands at 1,40,74,564 with 14,71,877 active cases and total recoveries at 1,24,29,564. As of Thursday, India has administered 11,44,93,238 vaccine doses.
