Priyanka Chopra Jonas, who is currently in London with her mother Madhu Chopra, recently posted a happy picture with actress and friend Lara Dutta and her daughter Saira. The duo celebrated 21 years of their friendship as they met each other at Miss India 2000 pageant.
Priyanka took to Instagram and dropped a picture along with a sweet note. In her caption, she also mentioned that they missed their mentor, Pradeep Guha, who passed away recently.
The actress wrote, “21 years and counting.. friendships that can pick up at any given time… @larabhupathi and her most shining star. Saira you’re definitely your mums daughter. Adore you. So much love for these ladies. And so many memories. Also Missed you #Pradeepguha ️” Have a look:
Priyanka and Lara were mentored by Pradeep Guha during the Miss Pageant days. Priyanka had put up throwback pictures last month and mourned his demise. An excerpt from her note read, “You were always my forever champion. Your random calls of encouragement, your zest for life and your ambition was something I have always admired so much. This loss is so personal. I will miss your voice and strength so much. I’ve had very few constants in my life and outside my parents, you were one that I truly saw as my mentor. You saw something in me I never knew I had. You never shied away from reminding me on how I could be better. You always lead with charge. This video above, is part of an interview he did around the release of my memoir, in which he features prominently. As always, his words were an encouragement and an affirmation, something I knew I could always count on.”
Lara won the Miss India crown in 2000 and later went on to win the Miss Universe title as well. On the other hand, PeeCee was the first runner-up at Miss India and she later won the Miss World crown.
On the work front, Priyanka will be next seen in ‘The Matrix: Resurrections’ and ‘Text For You’. She also has Farhan Akhtar’s ‘Jee Le Zara’ with Katrina Kaif and Alia Bhatt.
