Shah Rukh Khan’s charming act in ‘Kal Ho Naa Ho’ is remembered by many, but the actor was not exactly pleased with the conclusion that his character met in the movie. SRK essayed the role of Aman Mathur in the movie, who passes away due to a heart condition.
Recently Nikkhil Advani, director of ‘Kal Ho Naa Ho’, revealed that Shah Rukh Khan hated his death scene in the movie. Speaking to a news portal, the filmmaker revealed that Shah Rukh Khan absolutely hated the death scene of ‘Kal Ho Naa Ho’ and kept telling Nikkhil Advani that he was too irreverent and not giving it any respect. Interestingly, at the same time SRK was shooting for a death scene in ‘Devdas’. Comparing the two, the actor kept telling Nikkhil, ‘Now, that’s called a death scene’. On his part, Nikkhil Advani explained to Shah Rukh Khan that he was looking at death as a comma, not a full stop. Shah Rukh Khan shined in the movie, which also starred Saif Ali Khan and Preity Zinta in lead roles.
Interestingly, Karan Johar had offered ‘Kal Ho Na Ho’ to Salman Khan, but the actor had reportedly turned down the role because he didn’t want to play the second fiddle to King Khan. ‘Kal Ho Naa Ho’ was also first offered to Kareena Kapoor Khan, but after she turned down the movie, Preity Zinta landed the part. Speaking about the movie, Preity had once told PTI, “It was very special to me because I lost my first love. I was in love with him, he was not. I felt strongly when the film was offered to me. Some of the best things have happened to me during that film.”
